PIM’S TEKDIVINGPTD is een organisatie 100% gericht op technisch duiken. Je kunt er technische duikopleidingen van Nitrox (SafeAir) duiker tot en met Tri-Mix Instructeur Trainer. Zowel op Open Circuit als Gesloten Circuit (rebreather).
Het hoofdkantoor van PTD is gevestigd in Abbenes (Noord-Holland). Er zijn verschillende PTD facilities in Europa.
Missie van PTD PTD stelt zich ten doel het technisch duiken voor een breder duikpubliek toegankelijk te maken en zet daarbij de veiligheid van de duiker voorop. PTD stelt hiertoe de hoogste eisen aan haar instructeurs en facilities PTD draagt actief bij aan de ontwikkeling van training standaarden en research op (technisch) duikgebied.
Rebreathers PTD is gespecialiseerd in rebreather trainingen van duiker tot en met instructor (trainer). Sentinel, Ouroboros, Apocalypse, rEvo, Megalodon, LAR V, LAR VII, Ray, Dolphin/Atlantis, FGT, Classic KISS, Sports KISS, Inspiration (Vision and Classic), Evolution, Azimuth Nitrox en Azimuth AF.
Medische Opleidingen PTD
verzorgt alle opleidingen van Divers Alert Network DAN (tot en met Instructeur).
Expedities Ook organiseert PTD technische duikreizen en expedities waaraan men met de juiste certificeringen kan deelnemen.
Technische duikmaterialen PTD is onafhankelijk van enige leverancier van duikmaterialen. Het assortiment in de Tekdiving Shop is dan ook tot stand gekomen op basis van persoonlijke positieve ervaring met de materialen.
PTD Tek Trainingen PTD verzorgt trainingen van DIRrebreather, ANDI, IANTD, WOSDT, DSAT/PADI, CMAS, ITDA en PTA.

Wereld Record houder wrakduiken
Pim heeft op 10 mei 2008 het wereld record wrakduiken verbroken. Hij heeft in het Lago Maggiore in Italie samen met Mario Marconi en Alessandro Scuotto een duik gemaakt naar het wrak van de Milano op een diepte van 236 meter. Hij heeft de duik gemaakt op een Ouroboros eCCR.
Publicaties van Pim Pim publiceert regelmatig in het Nederlandse tijdschrift Duikmagazine en het Russische Neptune. Pim heeft inmiddels 7 boekjes geschreven over technisch duiken en rebreathers.

DIRrebreather Calabria Wreck Expedition May 2011
20th of May DIRrebreather Exploration Team came back from a week wreck diving in Calabria (Italy). The team also did three days of diving on the Viminale (105 mtrs). Team members were: Drazen Goricki, Jordi Mateo, Marco Valenti, Richard de Leth, Christian Mueller, Bernd Luebbe, Claus Jungkunz, Christoph Brieger and Pim van der Horst. There were 7 Megs, 1 KISS and 1 Hammerhead. The dives were made according to DIRrebreather standards. There were no incidents. A detailed report will follow later.
3rd Rebreather Gathering Austria 2011
The third DIRrebreather Gathering has taken place at lake Attersee.
Around 120 people attended the meeting.
The weather was very good, so many people took the advantage of making trial dives and (deep) fun dives.
New items were the manuals from IART, cel tester from De-Ox, bailout and quantum CCR from Submatix. The Bonex scooters were also present and divers made test dives with them.
Saturday evening started with a buffet and barbecue. Later Marco Valenti (Italy) presented the new Hammerhead Xtreme revD, Chris Ullman (Germany) showed a film of the IART gathering at Safaga and Pim (Netherlands) did a presentation on the Victoria and the Support Diver.
Mats Ytterstad (Norway) did his DIRrebreather Mixed Gas on the Meg and Ron Bruijn (Netherlands) his ANDI L5 CCR on rEvo III hCCR.
Next year will be the fourth rebreather gathering at the same place, the second weekend of september 2012. So: you can already make a reservation in your agenda!
New APOC mCCR with Narked@90 POD and Shearwater is available
The new APOC mCCR with oxygen POD from Narked@90 with Shearwater monitor/trimix computer is now available.
The total cost is around 4200 EUR (ex VAT and shipping). The CCR and the POD have to be ordered through internet on the website of Open Safety (www.opensafety.eu) and Narked@90 (www.narkedat90.com).
The mCCR has full CE.
Training will be available shortly.

Focke Wulf wreck in Lac du Bourget
On October 31th Jordi Mateo (Spain), Drazen Goricki (Croatia), Vic Verlinden (Belgium) and Pim van der Horst (Netherlands) made a dive on the wreck of a Focke Wulf airplane in Lac du Bourget (France, Savoie). The dive was organized by Philippe Cathiard from Savoie Plongee. The water temperature at the bottom was 5 degrees Celsius and at deco depth 14 degrees. The plane crashed into the lake in 1943 during a training flight. One of the two pilots died during the accident. Vic and Drazen took some nice pictures of the wreck, which lays at the bottom of the lake at 109 mtrs. Vic will present his pictures during Tekdive 2011, 12 and 13 November 2011 in Antwerp (www.tekdive.be).
